WATCH: David Tennant Gatecrashes ‘Poldark’ Interview

David Tennant gatecrashed a recent interview with Christian Brassington, giving us a glimpse at what a Doctor Who/Poldark crossover might look like.

And no, we don’t mean the TARDIS crashlanding in 18th century Cornwall, though we like the sound of “PolWho” (or “Doctor Dark,” anyone?).

The crossover took place thanks to You, Me & Him, the romantic comedy starring David as the Lothario neighbor of lesbian couple Olivia (Lucy Punch) and Alex (Faye Marsay). It also features a cavalcade of British acting talent, including Bridget Jones‘s Sally Phillips, David’s Broadchurch co-star Sarah Parish, Fifth Doctor Peter Davison, and Christian, who plays the foot-obsessed Reverend Osborne Whitworth in Poldark.

The film had a charity screening in Jersey in the U.K. on Sunday (July 1), meaning David and Christian, along with writer/director Daisy Aitkens and producer Georgia Moffett, a.k.a. David’s wife and co-star in “The Doctor’s Daughter,” were together enjoying a drink or two on the sunny island.

There was just one problem. Christian had another obligation, namely a Twitter Q&A with Poldark fans (or the “Poldarlings,” as they’re known), which meant he’d have to answer their questions live on the phone for 25 minutes, while someone from the official Poldark account wrote them down.

Simple! What could possibly go wrong? Well, it turns out quite a lot. Things began well:

But they took a turn for the worse when Georgia and David noticed what he was up to. They started filming the whole thing on her phone, broadcasting it live to her 17,000 followers. Georgia and David tease Christian as he plays along for nine whole minutes, waving and striking poses while trying to give good answers — although it’s not clear if David fully understands what Instagram is, when at at one point he calls it “MySpace.” Bless.

Luckily, one of Georgia’s followers had the presence of mind to record it:

Poor Christian. David’s gatecrashing tactics didn’t stop there either, as this photo of Daisy and Georgia from earlier in the day shows:

Will someone please get that man a new show? Oh, yes. Not long to go.

Do you like the idea of PolWho?
