Picture the scene: you’re in a theater waiting for your favorite comedy show to begin, and in walks not one Time Lord, but TWO.
That’s exactly what happened at the Hammersmith Apollo in London last night (September 26), when an audience waiting to watch League of Gentlemen Live looked on slack-jawed as Peter Capaldi and his Doctor Who predecessor, David Tennant joined them.
People around them quickly whipped out their phones and recorded the historic moment David approached Peter for a catch up:
Just imagine being close enough to hear what they were saying! Would you stare straight at them, or play it cool and pretend a conversation of planet-sized significance wasn’t going on above your head?
Peter and David were at the theater to watch the League of Gentlemen, the sketch comedy group made up of their old pal and Doctor Who writer Mark Gatiss, as well as Steve Pemberton, Reese Shearsmith and Jeremy Dyson.
And they weren’t the only ones. Also among the 3,500-strong crowd were John Simm, the Life in Mars star who played the Doctor’s nemesis The Master, and David Walliams, who played alien-mole Gibbis.
Watching League of Gentleman Live, feel like I’m at the Baftas or a Doctor Who convention.
John Simms behind, David Tennant 5 down, David Walliams , 8 down and Peter Capaldi in front. I’m now hunting for Tom Baker

The whole thing begs the question, why weren’t WE told about this reunion?
Peter and David were gracious enough to hang about after the show though, and take photos with fans.

There’s just one person who might have been annoyed, however: David’s wife Georgia, who let slip in an Instagram photo last night (September 26) that this was supposed to be their date night.
Can you blame these fans though?
