Tom Hiddleston is up to mischief again, with his Avengers co-star Mark Ruffalo right behind him.
The two have a reputation for causing havoc. First off, there’s Tom, who plays god of mischief Loki — Thor’s pesky adopted brother — in the Avengers and Thor movies. As we told you back in September, he’s set to reprise the character in his very own TV show when Disney’s new streaming service launches in late 2019.
Disney confirmed the details on Thursday (November 8), prompting Tom to take to his social media accounts for the first time in 20 months to promise “more stories” to tell and “more mischief.”

And then there’s Mark, who just keeps on getting in trouble. There was the time he accidentally streamed the first few minutes of Thor: Ragnarok before it had been released, or when he gave away a massive spoiler to the end of Avengers: Infinity War, and then just recently he almost let slip the Avengers 4 title and ending to Jimmy Fallon.
Somehow though, despite these slip-ups, Mark still has access to his own Instagram account. On Saturday (November 10), he replied to Tom’s Instagram post, saying he was “Lowkey excited,” a pun that should surely now get him fired once and for all.
The comment has kicked off speculation that Hulk, the Marvel character played by Mark, might make an appearance in Loki. They certainly have form together, having come face-to-face in The Avengers and then again to hilarious results in Thor: Ragnarok.
We still don’t know when or where in the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU) the Loki series is set, especially considering how Loki fared in Avengers: Infinity War, so it’s hard to tell if it would fit Hulk’s timeline.
However it’s pulled off though, one thing’s for sure: we’re ready for some mischief.
Are you excited to see Tom back as Loki?
