“A sense of security, peace of mind,” is promised by a doctor in the new trailer for Jodie Foster‘s “Arkangel,” but forgive us if we don’t buy it.

That’s because it’s the first new episode of Black Mirror, the frighteningly prescient sci-fi anthology series that’s returning to Netflix in early 2018.

“Arkangel” will be the first episode of six, and is the latest TV show to be directed by the Silence of the Lambs star. In it, La La Land‘s Rosemarie DeWitt plays a young mother who briefly loses her young daughter Sarah in a playground, then turns to a mysterious tech company to keep her safe in a scary world.

“The key to good parenting is control.” Now if that isn’t an ominous tagline, we don’t know what is.

Also starring are Brenna Harding (The Code) and Owen Teague (Bloodline), and, as with most Black Mirror episodes, it was written by series creator Charlie Brooker.

This sinister tale of over-parenting will be joined by “Crocodile,” which also got its first trailer over the weekend. It stars Andrea Riseborough (Battle of the Sexes), Andrew Gower (Outlander) and Kiran Sonia Sawar (Deep State) and is directed by The Road‘s John Hillcoat.

Black Mirror season four is expected to launch on Netflix in early 2018. Just don’t expect a happy ending.
