Stan Lee Suggests a Marvel-‘Harry Potter’ Crossover to J.K. Rowling

Marvel creator Stan Lee has sent our imaginations into overdrive by suggesting a crossover between the Marvel Cinematic Universe and Harry Potter.

He made the suggestion on Twitter yesterday (May 27), looping in Harry’s creator J.K. Rowling:

…hmm? Oh, that noise? That was the sound of our brains exploding.

So let’s get that straight, that’s the Sorcerer Supreme (Benedict Cumberbatch) taking up wizardry at Hogwarts, plus, ooh, say, Wolverine (Hugh Jackman), Magneto (Michael Fassbender), and Storm (Halle Berry), with Professor X (Patrick Stewart) in charge of class?

Needless to say, fans of both franchises immediately ran with the idea:

Some imagined Professor Snape, played in the films by the inimitable Alan Rickman, in front of a class populated by X-Men:

And others riffed off director Kevin Feige‘s oft-quoted claim about Marvel’s recent box office buster Avengers: Infinity War:

Ms. Rowling is yet to respond, but fear not, we have a team of house elves monitoring her Twitter account round the clock.

Can you imagine a Marvel-Harry Potter crossover?
