David Tennant will be popping up all over the place in the coming months. Camping starts soon (Oct. 14), then in 2019 Good Omens will finally makes it to our screens. And now there’s his new show, There She Goes.

Although it’s billed as a comedy-drama, the latter promises to be a little less light-hearted than the rest. The Tenth Doctor plays the father of Rosie, a 9-year-old girl with learning difficulties, while his Doctor Who co-star Jessica Hynes takes on the role of her mother.

The BBC has just released the first trailer:

Written by Shaun Pye (The Increasingly Poor Decisions of Todd Margaret), whose own daughter has an extremely rare, and so far undiagnosed, chromosomal disorder, the five-part series seeks to shine a light on day-to-day life with Rosie, from simply trying to take her to the park to explaining that every day isn’t her birthday.

It’s been made by the production company set up by Sharon Horgan, the actress and writer behind Catastrophe and Divorce, so expect some uncomfortable truths tucked in with the laughs.

There She Goes starts airs in the U.K. later this month, with a U.S. deal expected soon.

Are you excited to see David in this new role?
