Greta Gerwig is currently filming her star-studded reboot of Little Women in Boston, with Emma Watson and Saoirse Ronan on set in full period costume.
A photographer managed to capture snaps of the pair, alongside newcomers Eliza Scanlen, who recently impressed audiences with her performance in Sharp Objects, and Florence Pugh (The Little Drummer Girl).
Emma plays Meg, the eldest of the four sisters at the center of Louisa May Alcott‘s classic novel, while Saoirse (middle left) plays Jo, Eliza (far left) is Beth, and Florence (far right) is youngest sister Amy.

There’s even video of the foursome walking arm-in-arm along a snow-covered street as the cameras follow them.

Not pictured is Laura Dern as mother March, a.k.a. Marmee, Meryl Streep as Aunt March, or Timothée Chalamet, who’s playing Laurie Laurence, the family’s rich-kid neighbor.
By this point, 150 years after the book was first published, and countless adaptations later, we all know the story, of course: the four March sisters confront growing pains, financial woes, tragedies and romantic rivalries as they come of age during the Civil War.
It’s not a million miles away from the themes of Lady Bird, Greta Gerwig’s directorial debut starring Saoirse and Timotheé that garnered 41 major nominations and won 13 awards in 2018.
Time will tell if her adaptation of Little Women lives up to the book, not to mention the 1994 movie starring Winona Ryder and Christian Bale. It’s expected to open in theaters on December 25, 2019.
