Social media isn’t just about keeping up-to-date with friends, it’s also about stalking your favorite stars of stage and screen.

Not everyone has an Instagram or Twitter account (we’re looking at you, Benedict Cumberbatch and Daniel Radcliffe). And not everyone is good at keeping it up-to-date (T-Hidd! Where’ve you been?), but there are some who go the extra mile to keep us across the minutiae of their daily lives. Below are 15 of our favorites.

1. Sir Ian McKellen (@ianmckellen)

Sir Ian‘s friends make frequent cameos in his photos, like this one of fellow knight of the realm and long-time pal Sir Patrick Stewart (@SirPatStew).

2. Emilia Clarke (@emilia_clarke)

The whole GoT gang is on Instagram, including Maisie Williams (@maisie_williams), Sophie Turner (@sophiet), and Nikolaj Coster-Waldau (@nicolajwilliamcw), but Emilia‘s is our favorite, with frequent behind-the-scenes photos and ink updates. Her latest is this one of three dragon silhouettes on her right wrist, in honor of her character Daenerys Stormborn’s fire-breathing brood.

3. Lin-Manuel Miranda

The Hamilton creator is currently filming His Dark Materials in Wales (Lin plays balloonist Lee Scoresby in the BBC’s new adaptation of the Philip Pullman books), and his tweets about getting to grips with life in the U.K. have been hilarious.

4. Hugh Bonneville (@bonhughbon)

Hugh‘s Instagram offers a window onto his world, including on-set photos, his charity work, and some out-of-hours hanging with his Downton pals Alan Leech (also on Instagram as @therealleech) and Elizabeth McGovern.

5. Riz Ahmed (@rizahmed)

Riz has declared war on sandwiches, posted holiday snaps from his recent trip to Pakistan, and throwback pictures to himself as a cute little kid on his Instagram account. Worth a follow as his career goes from strength to strength.

6. John Boyega (@JohnBoyega)

John may be the star of one of the world’s biggest franchises, but that doesn’t mean he’s let fame get to him. His Twitter account is full of anecdotes like this, about his friends and family treating him the same way  they’ve always treated him.

7. Michelle Dockery (@theladydockers)

Michelle‘s never been one to shy away from a selfie, but her Instagram is now our first port for insider snaps of the Downton Abbey movie.

8. Russell Tovey (@russelltovey)

Russell loves posting snaps of his French Bulldog Rocky, and we love looking at them. It’s a win-win situation.

9. Adele (@adele)

Now that Adele‘s finished her world tour, she’s got more time for the important things in life: her Instagram account. She posts candid shots of herself at home, including this moment, when she got a little carried away watching Beyonce‘s Coachella performance.

10. Dan Stevens (@thatdanstevens)

Dan likes an arty shot or two, but can be relied upon for a few tongue-in-cheek posts too, like this one hinting he may (or may not) make an appearance in the Downton movie. The big tease.

11. J.K. Rowling (@jk_rowling)

The Harry Potter creator is a prolific user of social media, tweeting about politics and books and everything in between. Someone with over 14m followers is unlikely to read people’s comments, but she has been known to reply to fans’ queries and posts, even the less than flattering ones.

12. Henry Cavill (@henrycavill)

The Superman star not only takes photos, but also posts videos on his Instagram account, like this moving tribute to his infamous and extremely costly mustache.

13. Emma Watson (@emmawatson)

Emma mostly uses her platform to share details of her philanthropic work and @oursharedshelf, the feminist book club she founded in 2017. September 2018’s book is Rebecca by Daphne du Maurier. What are you waiting for? Get reading!

14. Idris Elba (@idriselba)

Follow Idris for shots of him DJing and at film premieres, and this, of him filming season four of Luther earlier this year, with a distinctly un-Luther-like cheesy grin.

15. Florence Welch (@florence)

Florence posts pictures of her outfits, lyrics, current reads, and what she gets up to backstage while on tour — but still no shots of her machine, sadly.
